WAVE PROPHECY MORELIA

The Wave Prophecy Morelia was born from the meeting of two of Mizuno's most iconic creations. On one side is the Wave Prophecy—a giant of sportstyle, with a distinct visual language and cultural identity shaped over years on the streets. On the other is the Morelia, one of Mizuno's oldest and most celebrated football boots, recognized worldwide as a symbol of tradition, craftsmanship, and elite performance on the pitch.

To bring this union to life, we developed a narrative that is both simple and universal. The film follows the story of a child from a humble family who, upon encountering an icon, begins to see the world—and personal style—in a different way. It is a story that does not belong to any single place, but resonates wherever there are people passionate about sportstyle. Nearly everyone who lives this culture remembers that first encounter with a sneaker, a football boot, or a symbol that meant something greater than the product itself—an object that went on to shape the way they see sport, style, and ultimately themselves.

That child ultimately represents everyone whose path has been transformed by an object of desire—the moment when a pair of sneakers ceases to be just footwear and becomes the beginning of an identity. It is this turning point that the film seeks to capture: not the product itself, but the impact it has on the life of the person who encounters it. It is about that first spark of inspiration—the moment when aspiration becomes personal, and an object evolves into a symbol of possibility, ambition, and self-expression.
